Q&A Art and Life With Sycra!
The Actual Show Starts at 0:13:45 Update-This ended up being an episode where Sycra and I answer questions about art and life. This is actually the first time we actually ever talked ever! It was a bit awkward, since it was live and unscripted for all to see, but i quickly discovered how wonderful of guy he is. Great insight and super fun to talk with. With the help of sycra handeling the waves of comments, i was able to talk about backgrounds and my process a bit. I also experienced some lag, but i managed. Hope you enjoy, and thanks so much to Mr Sycra for help'n me out with the stream. Sycra's Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/Sycra Perspective http://www.marshallart.com/other/shop/videos/index.php To clarify, some people may be confused, at 22:00 i talk about my ethnicity, i know iv'e said i was cambodian in my other videos (WHICH I AM) and now i said i'm chinese. I'm actually half chinese, which explains my last name, and i said " i think " its chinese, because i'm culturally 100% cambodian, meaning i speak cambodian, my parents speak it, all the traditions, new years, family weddings and such are all cambodian. The chinese traditions is almost non existant(however we do celebrate chinese new years as well), being that the chinese part of my family are like 3rd generation chinese living in cambodia. Imagine for example, an american born japanese person, whos parents were also japanese but born in america. The kid will have very little japanese influence, and speak mostly english. That would be like my dad. Now imagine if that kid had kids of his own, that would be the equivalent of me and my chinese heritage. So Yes, i am HALF chinese, and HALF, Cambodian. I still carry on the chinese last name do to my dad's side, who is FULL chinese but barely speaks it, which makes me culturally 100% cambodian. I hope that makes sense.
