SIMPLE ABSTRACT PAINTING, fun and creative way to use woodgrain tool and window washer
Hey guys this is Peter Dranitsin and today I will share with you a very simple and fun abstract painting. In this abstract painting called “Taking me Under” I will demonstrate how easy and fun it is to create abstract art with just few simple tools and techniques. For this particular painting I am using a 18×24” inch, professionally stretched and double primed canvas. I have provided the links to some of the art supply such as canvas, brushes and paint below in the video description. This painting will be created with multiple colors such as cad red, yellow oxide, titanium white, mars black, purple oxide, and prim blue. This variety of different colors will make our painting happy and you will most likely enjoy creating it. I have thought of an idea creating this painting in three parts. The bottom half of the canvas will covered with multiple colors that I’ve just mentioned. I will utilize window washer and wood grain tool to create interesting design to it. For the top half of the canvas I will be mostly using pallet knife, white and black paint creating monotone layer that will be in contrast to the colorful bottom portion of this painting. And finally on the very edge on the right side of this painting I will create a circle tying everything together in one. I will also try to create a depth to this painting by adding black paint and using sponge tool to soften the dark to light transition, imitating a drop shadow from top layer and the outer and inner part of the circle. It’s time to get submerged into our abstract world and start creating! ….
