Kseniya Simonova revived the Middle Ages
Kseniya Simonova revived the Middle Ages Honored Artist of Ukraine Kseniya Simonova presents a new sand story " Gezlev", dedicated to one of the most important periods in the history of her native town — Evpatoriya . — This story has become the embodiment of the medieval period of Gezlev — so in the period of the Crimean Khanate was called Evpatoriya . Our city is more than two and a half thousand years old, the centuries have embraced the multicultural heritage — from the Scythians and the ancient Greeks to the Sultanate and the Russian Empire. In this way, our city has made history . Amazing city, the best in the world. I really want its uniqueness to be known in the world, Evpatoriya deserves it , — said Kseniya . Sand story " Gezlev " was filmed in an unusual wide format, for showing epoch-making timeline, which move horsemen warriors, where are born and die Kingdoms. This timeline brings us to the medieval city of Gezlev, which suddenly appears … the old city (the so- called area of " Little Jerusalem " in the historical center of Evpatoriya ) . And our "old town", with its maze of narrow streets , courtyards — is timeless. — When I was ten years old, my mother (also a painter and artist) for the first time took me with her to the "old town" where she made the sketches. It was autumn . What I saw I will never forget. I opened a new world of which I had no idea, living in the area of new buildings. Then I wandered through these narrow , mysterious streets , looking at every crack , and nothing to me was no longer needed. Maybe then the wish to study history came to me. Kseniya Simonova and her creative team gave a sand story "Gezlev " as a gift to the Museum of Gezlev's gate, where the sand movie became a part of an interactive exhibition devoted to the medieval Gezlev . Now every visitor of the museum will be able to see this work. And you can see it right now! So, enjoy watching!
